Let's get some photos on here!

I'd love to include photos all the time on here, of my latest LOs, or my dd, but I can't seem to get it to work, probably because I use a Mac. So today I'm on a PC and will have a go at prettifying the place:)

This LO was done for a weekly challenge on UKS. The challenge was to use a given sketch, use stamping, use 9 of a kind of embellishment and use black and white. The stamped swirls were done using Autumn Leaves stamps, and I added some little Kaisercraft pearls.

This LO came about from a challenge set by my team on UKS. We were discussing the stash that each of us hoards, but which seems to precious to use. I do love stroking all the lovely ribbons I have. In this case, the ribbons I've used are actually the ones I won recently, but otherwise they'd just have sat in their glass jars looking pretty. I have had the wooden letters for ages though, and you may have spotted that the large letters used on this are from the same K & Co set as the ones on Blooms. This is deliberate as I had two sets of these letters, and am now able to store them all in the one box.

I really enjoyed using up my precious stash, and old stash in general. I'd urge everyone to have a go. Leaves more space for lovely new stash too!

Coo, I won something!

I entered a challenge on blog 'til you drop, and won! The challenge was to create something pink, and here's the card I did.



I got a lovely prize with a few sheets of stickers, LOADS of ribbon and various other things, all pretty much pink, which is fine by me:)

I don't normally make cards, but I might have a go now.

SUNSHINE!!!

Yay, it's sunny! I've been looking forward to sun after so much dreary rain.
Today's also Scrap your day, the challenge run by Shimelle. This has been running since April, every 25th of the month We take photos of our day, so at the end of a year we'll have an album showing what's happened over the time.
This month, the prompt asks us to use mostly black and white photos, so I've been having a play with my camera. I had no idea you could do so much with it, I've had fun trying out the colour accent option. Will add a photo later if possible.

Yay Somerfield!

Just a quick entry to say yay! On our way home from Scarborough last month we stopped off in Thirsk and accidentally left babe's rucksack there. There wasn't anything important inside, but she liked it so we wanted it back.

So hubby phoned them, and today it arrived safe and sound:) Of course, it's been so long that babe has forgotten all about it, but I'm still happy they took the trouble to post it.

Well, I guess I spend too much time chatting on UKS, so I never have any time to write on here. Also I was having trouble adding images, so I'll have another go.

Looks like that almost worked, yay!

So anyway, the LO above was done as part of the Overlooked challenge, with the subject being our handbag.

I'm off for a nap now, may be a shorter time between visits next time. Maybe.

Well, actually I did have a blog a few months ago elsewhere, but only posted twice and would have had to pay to make it pretty. So I decided to join the masses on here instead:)
